This lecture is part of the series Your Democratic Voice — Three lectures with knowledgeable researchers where you are invited to listen, think, and reflect together!

The evening begins with a lecture followed by refreshments and conversation. The moderator is Ola Bixo from Riksteatern Söderköping.

This lecture is given by Brita Hermelin, Professor of Cultural Geography at Linköping University. The evening explores how the planning of municipal initiatives works in practice — for example in the construction of the Förbifart Söderköping bypass. We ask ourselves what mandate the municipality holds in relation to the state, and how the will of the citizens fits into the equation.
