About the event

This lecture is part of the series Your Democratic Voice — Three talks with knowledgeable researchers where you are invited to listen, think, and reason together!

The evening begins with a lecture followed by refreshments and conversation. The moderator is Ola Bixo from Riksteatern Söderköping.

Maria Jernnäs, senior lecturer in environmental science at Linköping University, will lead the evening's lecture on the climate issue — a topic filled with conflicts over responsibility, costs, and justice, but also with opportunities for change. Drawing on climate policy research, the discussion will explore how we have arrived at today's polarised situation and how democracy, diverse societal interests, and perspectives on fairness can be brought together in the transition to a more sustainable society.
