About the Soderkoping Guide

A local guide for the entire municipality

The Söderköping Guide is a local digital guide that brings together businesses, events and places in Söderköping in one place. The aim is to make it easier for both residents and visitors to discover what the town, countryside and archipelago have to offer together.

The municipality’s official events calendar

From 1 January 2026, the events calendar on The Söderköping Guide also serves as Söderköping municipality’s official events calendar. The calendar remains free to use and is accessible both via The Söderköping Guide and the municipality’s website.

A local initiative – run and developed by Gawa Studio

The Söderköping Guide is run and developed by Gawa Studio AB, a local company with an office at Hagatorget in Söderköping.

The initiative was taken by Gawa Studio and is operated independently and with its own funding, with the ambition of contributing to the town’s development and visitor economy by creating stronger digital foundations.

Gawa Studio is responsible for the platform’s operation, functionality and ongoing development in collaboration with Söderköping municipality.

A long-term and independent model

The Söderköping Guide is an independent platform and does not act as the organiser of events or the operator of businesses listed on the website.

We believe that a platform of this kind needs to be run by a private actor in close collaboration with the municipality in order to develop over time, maintain high quality and avoid being limited by short-term budgets or political cycles. The goal is to create a sustainable platform that benefits both visitors and the local business community.
