About the event

More Japanese literature is being translated than ever before, and other forms of expression such as manga and anime have seen a tremendous surge in popularity. We have invited Yukiko Duke, translator and journalist, to guide us through Japanese literature and culture. You can look forward to both book recommendations and new insights!

Yukiko Duke has written books about Japanese history and food culture, and has translated Japanese fiction by authors including Haruki Murakami and Nobel Prize laureate Kenzaburo Oe.
